ld segfault on building gcc 3.3.2 on IRIX 6.2

It's a bug for ld to crash (rather than reporting an error, etc,) so
    report a bug to bug-binutils@gnu.org (I think).

This could also be caused by a bug in gcc, so see
    gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html .
