where to find more information about the error and waring of gcc

Mhm, I don't know.
But if you can't find anything in the GCC manuals or in this mailing list 
archive, you can post a small example of code that gives that 
warning/error, and we can have a look at that.
BTW, what version of GCC are you using ?
