Hi Alcino,

To my knowledge, there is no equivalent to the fairly-platform-specific
popen(), pclose(), et al, which work with pipes in C++ as an abstracted
object, such as a C++ I/O Stream.

You can use popen(), pclose(), et al, in C++, just as you would in C.

You can wrap the functionality of popen(), pclose(), et al inside a helper
class (say, class Pipe) of your own devising.
