gp relative segments

Hi,

I need some help to overcome a compilation error I currently have.

The error I receive is 

as1: Error: /tmp/ccaakCra.s, Line 6: gp-relative segments together exceed
64K bytes

If I reduce the size of my source files the error disappears, however this
is not a practical solution for me.

Is there any way to overcome this problem.
