help compiling for --target=arm-coff (error in crtstuff.c)

I'm trying to compile gcc-3.3 for the arm-coff or arm-unknown-coff targets with
binutils-2.13.1 and I get the error below. Please advice on what I can do to
resolve this or which versions of gcc support the arm-coff target. I've also
tried older versions back to gcc-3.2.1 with the same results. I only need the
core and g++ parts of gcc.
