distributing gnu runtime libs

Hi there,

  What about using the 'rpath' option to the linker?
It should enable you to put libs and a special
location and not require changes to any environment
variables, runtime linker configurations etc.
  I think, most UNIX linkers have such functionality,
but try reading the man pages.
