My name is Eugenio and I have recently built gcc-3.0.4 in
alphaev67-dec-osf5.1, apparently with success:

$ gcc - v
Reading specs from /usr/users/eseguin/lib/gcc-lib/ alphaev67-dec-
Configured with: ../gcc-3.0.4/configure --prefix=/usr/users/eseguin --
Thread model: single
gcc version 3.0.4

In spite of this when I attempt to configure Dejagnu I obtain the
following message:

checking whether the C++ compiler (c++ ) works...
177942:./conftest: /sbin/loader:
Fatal Error: Cannot map library libstdc++.so
I give the commands 'make' and 'make install' buth I do not obtain
the adequate enforceable .

Also, when I attempt build Octave-2.1.36, the compilation process
(command make) is stopped, after approximately 15 minutes, with
the following error message:

 284478:./munge-texi: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map
library libstdc++.so
make[3]: *** [arith.texi] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/eseguin/octave-
make[2]: *** [interpreter] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/eseguin/octave -2.1.36/doc'
make[1]: *** [doc] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/eseguin/octave-2.1.36'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Can You help me to solve this problem?

Thank you very much
