native + cross gcc compiler

Hi all,

I work on a project that need two C++ compilers:

1) sparc-sun-solaris2.6->powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0 cross compiler.
2) sparc-sun-solaris2.6 native compiler (for host testing).

We are planning to change ours compilers.

So, I was just wondering, what would be the best gcc release for this
kind of configuration.
