Unnamed return value optimization

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I searched the archives 
and found nothing on the subject.  I was curious whether gcc (current or 
in-the-works) supports the _unnamed_ return value optimization.  I know 
that 3.1 has implemented the named RVO, but I can't seem to find the 
status on unnamed, and I don't believe I am benefitting from the RVO in my 
current code.
