Version 2.95.2 vs. 2.96

Hi,

I've made a program (in Fortran 77) for simulating elasticity in
materials, and have some  problems in reproducing the results, using the
same inital conditions, but
running on different architectures/gcc-versions.  I accidently noted that
code compiled on g77 version 2.95.2 and g77 version 2.96 gave quite
different results.
So the question is:
Does anyone know what happened with the compilator code between version
2.95.2 and 2.96 which might have an effect on my simulations ? I'm using
doubleprecision for my variables.
