problem in g++ installation

Hi experts,

    I installed gcc complier in solaris 7 and it is working superbly.But
when i want to run a small c++ pgm with g++ complier i get the following
error. 

/usr/ccs/bin/as:"\var\tmp\ccgHswoZ.s",error:statement syntax, unknown
opcode:uleb1

i saw the gcc-help faq,s and found my error is similar to the qn asked by
ceaser <http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-help/2002-02/msg00252.html


but i am unable to find a reply. please reply me so that i will be
successful in installing g++
