gcc-3.0.2 on HPUX 11.11

I am trying to build gcc for HPUX11.11 (64bit).  I moved an HPUX 11.0
(32bit) version of the tools over
and they run fine (gcc-3.0.2) when I try to rebuild I get errors with
__STDC__ not defined.
I read somewhere that gcc 32bit can not build for gcc 64bit.  Is this true?
Any suggestions?
