gcc 3.0.1 installation problem

Helo,

I installed gcc3.0.1 SPARC/Solaris 8 binary freeware package. when I
triy to compile a helo world program:


#include <iostream.h>

main ()
{
  cout << "Helo world" << endl;
}


I try to compile with the command:

g++ try.C -o try

/usr/ccs/bin/as: "/var/tmp/cccJrzYG.s", line 5311: error: statement
syntax
/usr/ccs/bin/as: "/var/tmp/cccJrzYG.s", line 5316: error: unknown opcode
".uleb128"

What's wrong?
