Hi all,
I'm trying to build gcc in my RedHat 7.1 box, and I have a problem when building gcc like a cross-compiler to ia64 platform. The error is :
/home/ellen/ia64/gcc-3.0/gcc/xgcc -B/home/ellen/ia64/gcc-3.0/gcc/ -B../gcc-obj/ia64-*-linux/bin/ -B../gcc-obj/ia64-*-linux/lib/ -isystem ../gcc-obj/ia64-*-linux/include -c -o crtbegin.o -x assembler-with-cpp ./config/ia64/crtbegin.asm
as: unrecognized option `-x'
make[1]: *** [crtbegin.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ellen/ia64/gcc-3.0/gcc'
I already update my glibc (to 2.2.4) and binutils (to 2.11.92) according to gnu requirements.
Can anybody help me ?
Thanks,
Ellen
