Use contrib/gcc_update --touch to make sure the timestamps are all
correct, otherwise you may have some files rebuilt locally.

Building inside the source tree is not recommended.  Try building in a
separate build dir, for example, a sibling of the source dir (but not
a subdir).  This week's snapshot built fine for me on
sparc-unknown-linux-gnu.
