gcc 3.0 64 bit sparc help needed

Does anyone have suggestions on getting gcc 3.0 to compile
with -m64 support under Solaris 2.7?  I'm using gcc 2.95.3
to build 3.0.  I can do a simple
	cd build_3.0
	../gcc-3.0/configure --prefix=/usr/local/gcc/gcc3.0
and get a 32 bit compiler, but any efforts to specify
	--target=sparc64-sun-solaris2.7
or 
	--target=sparcv9-sun-solaris2.7
fail in ../gcc-3.0/gcc/unwind-dw2.c with various errors.
