Can you give any dates?
I've found that the configuration hppa1.1-winbond (hppa1.1-winbond-proelf)
will build binutils 2.9 and gcc 2.95.2 OK (but not gdb); should I stick
there or try to work my way up? From inspection, this config seems to have
been designed for the W89000 predecessors to the parts I'm using (maybe the
W89K was a bare core; the 902xx series has a lot of peripherals on-chip).
The old DOS32 version won't build several libraries I need, and it
generally behaves rather randomly, e.g. do a full build 3x and it will fail
once (compiler internal error), with no source files changed in between. So
I am keen to upgrade :)
