while installing binutils ld file will come or not

Hi All,
       I installed binutils-2.11 by configuring like
this

       ./configure --prefix=/filesure

        make

        make install

it went file but i am not getting ld file under
/filesure/bin dir remaining as and ar everything is
there, tell me is it ld has to come here or it is in
the default place because I getting .alloca error
while runnning make for gcc, I am having doublt it is
due to this ld file missing.
