errors occur while building cross compiler

Hello,Dear sir:

I want to build a cross compiler under the instructions I have found on 
Internet,
the instructions are as following:

    configure --target=powerpc-linux --prefix=/home/foo -v
    make all install

but I failed after the binutils 2.11.2 was successfully built. Below I list 
the error messages which I got while building the Cross Compiler.

config/rs6000/linux.h:81:20: signal.h: No such file or directory
config/rs6000/linux.h:82:26: sys/ucontext.h: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [libgcc/ ./_modi3.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [stmp-mutilib] Error 2
make: *** [all-gcc] error 2

How can I achieve my goal? I need your help!
