Obtaining egcs from the egcs RPM

I have run

    rpm -ivh egcs-1.1.2-24.src.rpm

and this has resulted in egcs.spec being installed in

    /usr/src/redhat/SPECS

and the remaining files of the RPM file being installed in

     /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

How do I obtain egcs from these files?

BTW: According to  rpm -q egcs-1.1.2-24.src.rpm , the egcs RPM was not 
installed even though I ran rpm -ivh egcs-1.1.2-24.src.rpm
