name mangeling

Hello,

I have to use a big amount of already written code in a project developed
under Microsoft Visual C++. Since this MSVC isn't able to compile the stuff,
I tried to compile it with cygwin (windows port of GCC) - works fine, of
course - and create a static linked library with ar. Unfortunately GCC and
MSVC do different name mangeling (is that the correct term?), so that the
last one doesn't find anything in the library:

E.g.: vocabulary::vocabulary(unsigned int) becomes ??0vocabulary@@QAE@I@Z
(MSVC) or ___10vocabularyUi (GCC).

What can I do?
