Question about valarray.resize() implementation.

A question about valarray.resize() implementation.

In VC++6.0 from Microsoft, valarray.resize() will keep the original content of
the vallarray. But, in gcc, the same operation would reinitialize the content of
valarray. The former behavior is somewhat more convenient for a problem I'm
working no.

So, what is the reason for gcc's behavior? Such as performance?
