Building GCC and Binutils together....

Hello list,

I must build a late model GCC, AS, and LD for a Solaris 2.6 UltraSparc 5.

I'm attempting to build GCC 2.95.2 along with Binutils 2.10 (first on my 
Linux box).

I've read the FAQ.
I've read the build instructions (very unhelpful here)
I've read "Intro to the Cygnus Tree"
I've read  several vague instructions sets gleaned from various mail lists.
I'm having no luck.

I've got the GCC 2.95.2 and Binutils 2.10 tarballs.  I'm able to build them 
independently.  But when I try to merge the builds, it fails miserably.

Does anybody out there have an EXACT, PRECISE  set of instructions for this 
operation ?
