gcc support for Solaris 8 in 64bit mode

Hi... need to know the capability of gcc-2.95.2 to operate under Solaris 8 
running in 64 bit mode. What about binutils also?
 
My project needs to go to 64 bit mode and I am not sure if gcc yet supports 
64bit mode... just a standard native c compiler.
