Sure it does.  As long as you link with some library that supplies
the definition of this function :-)

GCC doesn't contain a C library, it's just a compiler.  It's up to the
OS to offer a C library; if the functionality is missing in the OS's C
library, because it's supposed to be a Standard-compliant C library
(and clrstr() isn't part of the C Standard library), then you have to
find some utility library that implements this function, or some
similar functionality under a different name.  Try termcap, curses or
ncurses.
