undefined stderr libiberty/getopt.c

Hi yall, I'm trying to build a cross compiler (host=sparc-sun-solaris2.8
target=poserpc-eabi), while compiling I get a undefined symbol for stderr in
file getopt.c

shouldn't stderr be defined in stdio.h? any suggestions other than commenting
out the offending line? maybe no one has tried to run gcc-2.95.2 on Solaris2.8
while building a cross compiler for powerpc-eabi... in which case, this may be a
bug.
