Newbie questions on warnings.

My question is fairly simple, I think. Where can I find documentation on
the warnings the compiler/linker gives using egcs compiler? I went to
the main website but it has docs on the usage only.

Second question that I am sure many have seen before. Why is the linker
complaining about multiple common stuff?

I assume it is telling me it ran across something defined more than
once. I have searched through the news groups and most of what people
say are "your headers" don't have the #define set correctly. I have
programmed with C++ for a while and am kinda new to egcs. Could someone
point in the right direction?
