Graphic Tools

Hi there,
Please, drop an advice on what GNU graphic software could be used to build
some not very complex tool-chain for graphic embedded application on a
Linux host with GCC as a cross-compiler. To begin with we just need some
simple static and primitive dynamic images - lines, circles, boxes, etc.
