Solaris 2.6 GCC 2.95.1 and Octave (2.0.13 & 2.0.14)

I have a standard working distribution of GCC 2.95.1

I tried to compile Octave (both .13 and .14) with it, and got the same 
problem in make. It was a problem with the implicit and then 
REDECLARACTION of int finite (double);

What's going on?
