Hello,
I hope someone can give me some help with compiling gcc on an alpha server
running digital unix 4.0e. I am trying to get both gcc and g++. I downloaded
the package from the ftp site, ungzipped it and untarred it. Read the readme
and installation notes. Did a "mkdir objdir; cd objdir; ../configure
--enable-languages=c++."
First, I am assuming that since there wasn't a language choice for c, that
choosing c++ gets both. If that is incorrect, could someone correct me?
Second, when I did a "make bootstrap-lean," I received the following error:
gcc: ../obstack.c: No such file or directory
yet on the line above it just created a softlink to ../obstack.c from
../../libiberty/obstack.c and the link is still there. Do I need to make
this a hard link, or I have done something else wrong?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Brad Van Orden
