Segmentation Fault: new char[12]

you can adjust the limit of your resource limit using
setrlimit. Try man pages of getrlimit or setrlimit.
to check the limit at the prompt, uses 'ulimit -a' (for ksh,
zsh). i'm not sure about the other shells.
