Errors on Solaris 2.6 (X86)

I am trying to get gcc to work on an Intel box running Sol 2.6, and I am
getting the following error whenever I try to compile anything:

ld: fatal: fiule values-Xa.0: cannot open file: No such file or
directory

Does anyone know what this means and/or how to resolve it?
