Completing comment 6, which was posted with a bracketed placeholder by
mistake, apologies for that. The trunk result is now tested:

GCC trunk 17.0.0 20260610 (experimental), riscv64-linux-gnu cross,
-O3 -march=rv64gcv -mabi=lp64d: same failure as 15.2,
"not vectorized: unsupported use in stmt."
