--- Comment #2 from Patrick McNally <rpmcnally at gmail dot com> ---
The only version I see that produces the static symbol (t) is 16.2.0, though I
have not tried 17. Every prior version that I've tested produces a global
symbol (T). I'm happy to provide whatever information would be helpful, but
since I don't often submit reports, I might need some guidance on the type of
information you want.
I'm using a gcc-16.2.0 I built from source with:
../configure --prefix=/opt/create/gcc/16.2.0 --disable-multilib
--enable-languages=c,c++,fortran --enable-shared
Additional information:
$ gfortran -v
Using built-in specs.
COLLECT_GCC=gfortran
COLLECT_LTO_WRAPPER=/home/create/gcc/16.2.0/bin/../libexec/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/16.2.0/lto-wrapper
Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
Configured with: ../configure --prefix=/opt/create/gcc/16.2.0
--disable-multilib --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran --enable-shared
Thread model: posix
Supported LTO compression algorithms: zlib zstd
gcc version 16.2.0 (GCC)
