Hm, perhaps the component should have been changed to testsuite/ rather than
tree-optimization/ what with the maintainer judgement that it was expected
fallout.  Anyways the testsuite regression is fixed so closing-time for this
PR: the issue exposed with the failing test-case is moved to the new PR.
