Test case

Functions returning deferred length strings return empty strings with the
-fno-automatic compiler option.

Please see the attached program (tested on trunk on godbolt.org).

$ gfortran testprog.f90
$ ./a.out
 Hello, world!

$ gfortran -fno-automatic testprog.f90
$ ./a.out
