            Bug ID: 97341
           Summary: Implicit casting from char** to const char* const* in
                    template argument failing
           Product: gcc
           Version: 10.2.0
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: c++
          Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
          Reporter: reikdas at gmail dot com

Implicit casting of char** to a const char* const* by passing a char** variable
to a class template's argument like -

char *bar = (char*)"Hello1";
constexpr char** baz = &bar;
template <const char* const*> class foo {};

int main()
{
    foo<baz> Foo;
    return 1;
}

gives a compilation error -

test.cpp:7:12: error: the address of the ‘const char* const’ subobject of ‘bar’
is not a valid template argument
    7 |     foo<baz> Foo;
      |            ^

Output of g++ -v -save-temps -std=c++17 test.cpp -

Using built-in specs.
