Contacted NCAR, the providers of the source code. The bug is known to them and
they have a workaround:
Set
-DBUILD_RRTMG_FAST=0
to
-DBUILD_RRTMG_FAST=1


From my side, this bug report can be closed. 


But I expect it to resurface as more wrf users are moving to the later gcc
compiler versions.
