Compiling the following tests with -fdefault-integer-8

gfortran.dg/coarray/image_status_2.f08
gfortran.dg/coarray_image_status_1.f08

for compilers configured with --enable-checking=yes gives an ICE of the kind

/opt/gcc/p_work/gcc/testsuite/gfortran.dg/coarray_image_status_1.f08:9:0:

   if (image_status(1) /= 0) error stop "image_status(1) should not fail"
