It is definitely used, same as on Solaris/x86 where this issue doesn't
occur.

Sometime last year I'd already started looking at this issue and found
that for some PCs the DWARF line numbers seem to be off.  I'll verify
this again and report the details once I'm done.

It would be interesting to test this on Linux/SPARC, too.
