The author of that patch should contribute it then, see that

There are some minor formatting issues and some other issues (e.g. the arrays
should be static const, there is no need to initialize them at runtime, it just
wants a "named" string literal), but the most important thing is we can't just
take random patches out of other spots without the author contributing them.
