Possible fix

This patch addresses the issue and passes bootstrap and testing on
x86_64-linux.  It is definitely too late to submit it for GCC 7 but if
we do not come a more substantial overhaul of SRA in the GCC 8 time
frame, I will submit it on the mailing list.
