The ICE has been fixed between revisions r238055 (2016-07-06, ICE) and r238680
(2016-07-24, compiles). I see the ICE with GCC 5.4.0, but not with GCC 5.4.1
r242888 (2016-11-26). So it seems likely that the PR will be fixed for 5.5 and
it is fixed for 6.3 and trunk (7.0). So closing as FIXED.

Note that I did not find an obvious candidate back-ported to the 5 branch
between Nov 12 and 26.
