The ability to get a successful response from GDB for 'ptype X::t2::t2', given
the program plus a suitable main function, came about in revision 187106.  The
main effect of that patch in this testcase was to add the linkage name to the
declaration DIE of the structure_type, in both .debug_info and .debug_types
sections.  Before that patch, the linkage name was already present in the type
definition DIE, only present in .debug_types, but that wasn't enough for GDB to
be able to find the ctor by name.
