Damian has sent a patch to start the process of incorporating
OpenCoarrays into GCC. But, I believe that this needs a
build maintainer or global maintainer to approve it.

sysctl command may be of help. On troutmask, I have
% sysctl hw.ncpu
hw.ncpu: 8
