FWIW I'm getting a very similar problem, but at line 1882 - 1 line further on -
when compiling a different source file at -O2.

I haven't managed to reproduce a small test case yet, I can try to do so if it
would be useful and/or if the fix for this problem doesn't also resolve mine.
