I looked at that but decided not to touch it.  It's not something I'm setup to
test.

Please go ahead and submit/install if you are okay with change.  I can confirm
that it fixes the
hpux11 build error.  Otherwise, I will submit after full testing completes. 
Probably, getting the change
in as soon as possible is best.
