Rainer, I'm trying to reproduce the issue but the libjava build fails with:

make[4]: *** No rule to make target `libgcj.ver-sun', needed by `libgcj.la'. 
Stop.
make[4]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

Do you know what's going on or should I investigate?
