I tried RC2 and it again failed.  I configured again with your configure
command and what appears to be your build command, and it succeeded.

One difference is my normal bootstrap script still use the contrib/gcc_build
shell script, which invokes "make -jX bootstrap".  I am testing if the
"bootstrap" target specifically elicits the comparison failure.
