With the attached "preprocessed" test I get

 CONTAINS
    1

Fatal Error: Can't open module file 'read_nestle_in_mod.mod' for reading at
(1): No such file or directory

If I remove the useless lines

# 1 "src/read_input_mod.f90"
# 1 "<built-in>"
# 1 "<command-line>"
# 1 "src/read_input_mod.f90"

I get

 USE READ_NESTLE_IN_MOD
    1

Fatal Error: Can't open module file 'read_nestle_in_mod.mod' for reading at
(1): No such file or directory

which is expected since you did not provide the file containing the module
READ_NESTLE_IN_MOD. Could you please provide a test not failing for trivial
reasons such as missing modules?
